Marisol Persaud, MA, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University in the field of Psychology and her Master of Arts from Hofstra University in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Ms. Persaud has had eight years experience conducting family, individual and couples therapy as well as running groups and workshops on various issues. In addition to this clinical work, Ms. Persaud has been employed in the social service field for over fourteen years. She has a great deal of experience working with different populations, such as juvenile delinquents, juvenile sex offenders, college students, immigrants from other countries and abused and neglected children, as well as their families. She has been trained to provide therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups using various theoretical approaches. Ms. Persaud is eclectic in her approach to counseling, drawing upon mainly solution- focused, structural and humanistic principles in therapy sessions. Sessions are often activity oriented with an emphasis on psycho-education.
Most recently Ms. Persaud has provided numerous mental health focused consultations and training to a NYC Children’s Services Office.
Ms. Persaud is a Clinical member of The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), which supports the advancement in the field of marriage and family therapy and a member of the Association of Hispanic Mental Health Professionals. She is also Licensed by the NYS Department of Education since 2005.
Nicole A. Rose, MA, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with individuals, couples and families. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Long Island University in the field of Psychology and her Master of Arts from Hofstra University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ms. Rose also received her 2nd Master’s degree in School Counseling in 2008.
Ms. Rose has worked in the field of child welfare for five years. She has experience in providing therapy for groups, teens, families, parents and school administration. She has provided workshops and groups in Teen Anger Management, Parenting Skills and Sex Education. Ms. Rose is a Clinical member of The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and is Licensed by the NYS Department of Education.
